Brass Monkey Competition is a annually run ‘Back to Basics’ twenty-four hour competition starting at 10am. This is a District event, involving Explorers and Scout Troops in the Royal Forest District of Scouting. Our Bull Scouts, were tested on various challenges and safety aspects of real camping. Tents are not allowed but building their own shelters called Bivouacs is. They had to make their own fires and cook their own meals on it. Points were awarded and these points determine where they came in the competition.

Below are a few of the photos taken.

Our Bulls team managed a third place this year, where in previous years we have come first or second. We are very proud of our hardworking and enthusiastic young people. Well done everyone !
